Funnily enough, the sniper analogy might actually be a really good analogy given the Many Worlds interpretation of QM. It's called "Quantum Immortality" - and yes, if you get shot at by so many snipers with such a low probability of surviving, and you nevertheless survive, one could maybe argue that the anthropic principle of quantum immortality is at play.
